With the closing of Medical Hair Restoration, there are more technicians available than ever before. 2 years of working in a large company like MHR does not mean that the technician has the experience to lead and assist your staff. The most experienced MHR technicians were hired very quickly, so do your research when you get responses to an ad that you run on the internet. I would at a minimum hire a tech with 5 years experience, and at least 15 references from experienced hair transplant surgeons, they also should be able to show you pictures of the work that they have performed. If you need expert help with any version of FUE, I would not look anywhere else but to Larry Leonard, he is by far the most experienced FUE assistant in the country, Larry has been committed to FUE since 2003, he has not just "jumped on the FUE bandwagon" to take advantage of the slight increase in popularity. If you would like to contact Larry or if you need experienced techs, call 386-216-5429 and ask for Ron.
Experienced local technicians available in Texas, New York, Minnesota, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, if you state is not listed please call 386-216-5429.
There is no surgical procedure, cosmetic or otherwise, that is so dependent on surgical technicians for execution and cosmetic outcome. As most experienced hair transplant surgeons will attest, their results are only as good as the surgical team they work with.
In our company the hair transplant technicians have worked together as a team for many years. Their actions are fluid and often coordinated with little oral communication. It is a choreography based on years of repetition and a fanaticism for perfection. Extremely detailed work is performed while soothing the patient's anxiety and addressing the needs of the surgeon.
All of our staff have undergone the most in-depth screening process. Prior to joining us they must meet the following requirements:
Initial education as an R.N., L.P.N., Surgical Tech, EMT, or equivalent.
CPR/OSHA certification.
Criminal background/Drug screening.
Extensive history of back office assisting in hair transplantation.
Provide a portfolio showing great results.
Previous employers should be ABHRS certified and members of the ISHRS.
Regular attendance at ISHRS meetings and workshops.
Proven competency in dissection and placement of follicular units.
Consistent history of developing new technicians.
Personal recommendations from many ISHRS/ABHRS surgeons.
